It Takes a Village: Parents and Caregivers Support Group
Share this event
45-minute monthly virtual hangout for parents and caregivers navigating the beautiful chaos of work, caregiving, ambition, identity, and trying to drink a hot cup of coffee before it gets cold. This is a supportive, judgment-free space to swap stories, share resources, vent a little, laugh a lot, and remember you’re not doing the juggle alone.
All parents, caregivers, and caregivers-to-be are welcome, regardless of where you are in your journey.
Whatever you're feeling right now about being a caregiver, bring that with you. We'll see you there.
A quick note on how we hang out: We’d love to see your faces! This is a true community chat rather than a passive webinar, so if you're able, please feel free to turn your camera on, unmute, and dive into the conversation with us.
This month's session will be led by fellow Luminary Member Samantha Bretous, Founder of Nura, and focus on how to actually build our village.
As always, caregivers (in any stage!) are always welcome.
We all say it takes a village. But no one tells you how to actually ask yours. You probably know another parent you could turn to. You just haven't, because you haven't figured out how to start, or whether it's too much. In this session, Samantha digs into the ask we keep putting off: why reaching out to the people already around us feels so hard, and what makes it easier. Drawing on a year of conversations with parents, she'll break down how to make a first move that's easy to say yes to, easy to decline, and never feels like a debt. You'll leave ready to ask your village for help you've been sitting on.
This is a recurring gathering, taking place monthly with a rotating theme but always open to all.
