We Already Do Hard Things: Strength Isn't Always About Holding On
We Already Do Hard Things: Strength Isn't Always About Holding On
Share this event
We constantly navigate change and uncertainty in our relationships, work, responsibilities, and family life, but how often do we notice how that energy shows up in our bodies? Why are we sometimes drained, anxious, overwhelmed, and ready to go back to bed by 10am? We’ll gather in community to talk about real-world experiences and solutions you can use in your everyday life to help manage stress and overwhelm.
Join Sarah Hannah and Lissa Michalak for an experiential wellness workshop designed to help you reconnect with your body and explore how you respond to stress, challenges and change. Through practical applications of reflection, somatic work, gentle movement, breathwork and a restorative sound bath, we'll create space to notice what we're holding onto and dive into what it feels like to soften, release and reset.
This isn't about pushing through yet another hard thing; it's about recognizing the strength you already have within you. When we experience our different kinds of strengths, we can see more clearly when we’re holding on too hard, when we can let go, and how we can better support ourselves along the way.
No prior experience needed, just come as you are.
We already do hard things. It's time we recognize it, celebrate it and learn how to handle it all a little differently.
Here's what you can expect:
1. Welcome + Breathwork | Sarah
Settle in with a short breathwork practice, followed by an introduction to We Already Do Hard Things — recognizing how much we navigate every day, often without giving ourselves credit for it.
2. Connect: What Are We Carrying? | Small Groups
Our first networking conversation. What hard things are you already doing? What feels draining, stressful or overwhelming? Where would you like to cope or respond differently? Sarah will provide worksheets for discussion.
3. Understanding What the Body Holds | Lissa
Lissa introduces somatic work and the mind-body connection: how stress and difficult experiences can show up in the body, why we respond the way we do and how greater awareness can help us recognize those patterns. Then she will introduce simple, practical somatic techniques that can be used in everyday life to work with stress, regulate and respond differently when things feel hard.
5. Reflect + Reframe | Sarah
Bring it back to We Already Do Hard Things. What did you notice? What surprised you? Does knowing what you now know change how you think about what you need when something feels difficult?
6. Reconnect | New Small Groups
Meet a new group and talk about what shifted. What might you approach differently? What could supporting yourself better actually look like?
7. Sound Bath + Closing | Sarah & Lissa
Close with a meditation and restorative sound bath.
