Leading Beyond the Uniform: Stories of Service and Transition (Virtual Event)

In recognition of Veterans Month, Luminary is teaming up with Citi Women and Citi Salutes for an empowering conversation dedicated to amplifying the voices, stories, and experiences of women veterans and military families.

Join us virtually on Monday, November 9, from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. ET for a candid discussion with women veterans, corporate leaders and military spouses as they share their journeys through service, career transitions, leadership, entrepreneurship and family life. Together, we’ll explore how military experience translates into the workplace, the unique challenges faced by veterans and military families, and the resources, relationships and strategies that can support long-term career and financial well-being.

The program will include a moderated panel discussion and audience Q&A, offering practical insights for veterans, military spouses, employers and allies alike.

Meet the Panalists:

LeAnn Darland, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of TALEA Beer Co. and U.S. Navy veteran. Brings a military-to-corporate-to-entrepreneurship story, with experience in finance, operations and building a women- and veteran-owned company.

Michelle Penczak, CEO and Co-Founder of Squared Away and military spouse. Founded a remote business that creates meaningful employment for military spouses and can speak directly to relocation, career disruption, family stability and entrepreneurship.

Brigadier General Molly A. Spedding, Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Second Air Force, U.S. Air Force. Brings more than 25 years of active-duty and reserve leadership experience across personnel, investigations, security forces, joint operations and command. In her current role, she helps oversee operational aspects of training for 93 percent of the Air Force across 265 specialties.
