luminatus vocal ensemble is a small, professional vocal ensemble which aims to perform mainly early and contemporary music, focusing on the East Midlands and East of England. In a recent review for example they were described as a 'choir of exceptional ability', reflecting the skill of the singers in performing music from a very wide range of genres and styles.

Our repertoire features new music alongside more well known pieces. Concerts often include newly researched Renaissance pieces, or music by under-represented groups, such as female composers. We also love opportunities to perform more standard repertoire, perhaps accompanied by period instruments.

Luminatus have recently released a CD featuring previously unrecorded music by Francisco Guerrero, Tiburtio Massaino, Melissa Dunphy, Cecilia McDowall and Kerensa Briggs. You can hear the music on standard streaming outlets and purchase it here.
