Schedule:

January 11, 12, 18, and 19 (two consecutive weekends) from 8:30 AM until 3 PM Eastern Time each day. There will be a 30 minute lunch break at noon, along with some smaller breaks throughout the day.

~ You will gain the necessary skills to navigate many different postpartum scenarios, some of which are life skills that can be applied far beyond doula work

~ We create connections that can last a lifetime, while offering individualized support as needed

~ Each workshop is tailored to meet the primary needs of the group while covering the information you will need in order to provide the best possible support to new families of all shapes and sizes

~ This is an inclusive training that welcomes all family structures, races/ethnicities, gender identities and expressions, religions, and sexual orientations. Postpartum Doulas are needed in all communities!

Topics covered include:

Postpartum Support Basics, The Significance of a Doula, The Business of Being a Doula, Communication Skills and Crossing Cultures, Disparities in Maternal/Parental Healthcare, The Impact of Birth on Postpartum, Educating Clients & Making Referrals, Integrating a Baby into the Family, Sleep, Babywearing and Soothing Techniques, Perinatal Mental Health, Multiples, Loss and Grief, Infant Feeding, the DONA Certification Process, and more.

There are no prerequisites to attend the workshop. However, in order to participate, you must have:

- Access to high speed internet

- The ability to use Zoom

- A gmail account to access Google Classroom for assignments, group activities, handouts, and resources.

- A quiet, private space to be on camera during the entire training; this is a DONA requirement for certification.

**This Postpartum Doula workshop is designed to train professional Postpartum Doulas and is only one of the steps to certification for Doulas of North America International (DONA).  Certificates cannot be issued for partial attendance. 

Refund Policy:

Refunds can be issued up to one month prior to the training, minus a 20% non-refundable deposit. No refunds within one month of the training. If a conflict or emergency arises, you may apply your registration to another Postpartum Doula Training within one year, for a $75 transfer fee.
