Where Memories Live: Workshop on Place & Legacy
Share this event
Visual Artists Dagmara Rudkin & Wendy Pye (Luna Arts), invite you to reflect on the significance of place in your life - whether in landscapes you’ve cherished, homes you’ve lived in, public spaces you’ve occupied, or places and countries you’ve left behind. How important is it for your memory to be preserved in a place that holds personal meaning? Have you ever considered where that place might be? Through discussion, exploration, and creative activities, this workshop will help you shape your values and future decisions about the significance of place, legacy, memory, and how we might be remembered after we’re gone.

About Luna Arts
A community arts organisation founded by visual artists Wendy Pye & Dagmara Rudkin, that delivers art workshops that promote well-being, including encouraging conversations on challenging topics to support mental health.
In February 2025, Luna Arts was awarded a one-year Arts Council project grant to research contemporary beliefs, attitudes, and rituals surrounding funerals, life ceremonies, and memorialisation. The project involves developing & piloting workshops that use creative expression to facilitate challenging conversations about mortality and legacy, helping participants process emotions and articulate thoughts on death and dying.
