Preparing for birth can feel overwhelming, especially when you're unsure what to expect or how you'll cope.
This one-day, in-person hypnobirthing course in Glanmire will give you and your birth partner practical skills, a clear understanding of labour and the confidence to make informed decisions about your care.
You'll learn breathing and relaxation techniques, hands-on comfort measures, how your birth partner can support you and how to prepare for different birth experiences, including induction, epidurals and caesarean birth.
The course takes place at St. Joseph's Parish Centre in Glanmire, Cork, in a welcoming, light-filled space overlooking peaceful countryside.
Saturday 16 January 2027 | 9.30am–4.30pm | €330 per couple | Maximum six couples
Is This Course for You?
This hypnobirthing course in Cork is for you if:
- You're expecting your first baby and want to feel prepared, not overwhelmed
- You've given birth before and want a different, more positive experience this time
- You want your birth partner to feel confident, informed and truly useful on the day
- You're looking for something evidence-based and realistic - not just positive thinking
- You want to understand your options within the Irish maternity system and feel empowered to advocate for yourself
- You want support that continues beyond the course day, right up until your baby arrives
If any of that sounds like you, this course was designed with you in mind. Couples travel from across Cork and Munster to attend and many tell me afterwards it was one of the best investments they made in preparing for the birth of their baby.
Most couples attend my course at around 30 weeks pregnant, giving them plenty of time to practise the techniques together and prepare for their baby's arrival. You're very welcome to attend earlier or later in your pregnancy too.

About Louise
I'm Louise Lotty, founder of Luna Birth Services, a mother of three and a Certified Childbirth Educator, Hypnobirthing Instructor, Postpartum Doula and Breastfeeding Counsellor.
I'm registered with the Federation of Antenatal Educators (FEDANT), hold professional insurance and have completed training through programmes accredited by the Royal College of Midwives (RCM).
Having experienced different birth journeys myself, I understand how important it is to feel informed, supported and well prepared.
Over the past six years, I've supported families across Cork, Kerry and beyond, helping them understand their options, develop practical skills and prepare for birth with greater confidence.
I keep my courses deliberately small so I can get to know each couple, answer their individual questions and offer personal support throughout their preparation.
My teaching is designed to complement the care you receive from your midwife and hospital team.
