Developing Chaplaincy Research Symposium: in partnership with MHA

This symposium is an opportunity to share current or recent research in areas relating to ageing, faith and spirituality. 

It will be of interest to academic researchers, chaplains, health professionals, and any others who are interested in learning more about faith development and spirituality amongst older people.

About the Speakers:

Felicity Cowling-Green

Felicity Cowling-Green is joint Deputy Lead Chaplain at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. She is an ordained priest in the Church of England. Prior to ordination, she worked in London with an NGO focused on church advocacy around the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Her ministry has included parish roles in Wigan and Huddersfield, as well as time in communities for adults with learning disabilities in Mobile, Alabama, and in Manchester.

The Revd. Dr. Joseph Zulu

Rev. Dr. Joseph Zulu is a chaplain at two MHA homes specialising in Dementia Care.

Joseph brings a rare and deeply enriching multi-sector background to the field of later life care, drawing from over two decades of spiritual leadership alongside extensive technical industry experience. With 20 years in Church Ministry, five years in Education, and four years in Social Care, he has developed a profound expertise in holistic pastoral care, crisis support, and person-centred communication.
