🌱 We are excited to announce that this year’s South and Mid Wales Summer Gathering will be held at Greenfields Farm near Hay on Wye on Saturday 19th September! We are planning an afternoon of land based information and inspiration sharing with fire, food, music and fun!

🕐 Event Timings:

• 1pm - Arriving

• 1:30pm - Event starts

• 2pm - Workshops

• 7pm - Dinner

• 8pm - Music + general merriment

🌻 Our Afternoon Workshops:

• Market Gardening on a Shoestring (with Louise and Sam from Greenfields)

• Resilience in Landwork (with Fran - LWA Member Organiser and Market Gardener)

• Song Writing with Nature (with Gwyn and Beth, Flynn Daggett)

• One Planet Development (with Lily and Pete, Bryn Cynefin)

• Nettle Cordage Workshop (with Izzy, The Fold)

• Natural Dyes from Garden and Hedgerow (with Annie, Greenspinner Woolworks)

• Biodynamics on the Farm (with Chris, Biodynamic Land Trust)

• Foraging on your Doorstep (with Jo, The Orchard Project)

🥘 After the sessions, we will host a wholesome and hearty vegetarian meal - cost included in ticket. On the menu is a potato and chickpea curry with rice and salad (Vg/GF). If you have any dietary questions do get in touch with us at cymru@landworkersalliance.org.uk

🪕 Following the meal, we will hear some lovely folk music from local musicians Afra + Mikey from ‘Hog Hair Knitware’.... and a fire if weather permitting 🔥

🥾 Accessibility:

• Greenfields is a working farm, and whilst we will do our best to make the event as accessible as possible, there will be areas of uneven ground and inclines

• We will set up two mini toilet tents with compost bucket loos, but these may be unsuitable for those with mobility issues

• If you stay until the end it will be dark when you leave so do bring a torch or a phone with torch capabilities 

• Please wear appropriate footwear, and bring some warm clothes if you’re staying later into the evening
