Create Your Own Sealed Terrarium – Christmas Workshop at The Community Garden

Create Your Own Sealed Terrarium – Christmas Workshop at The Community Garden”

Come and spend a lovely morning with me in the beautiful polytunnel at the Community Garden at The Cherry Tree, Stoke Row, and learn how to create your very own little world under glass.

In this fun, relaxed workshop, I’ll show you step by step how to make a beautiful sealed glass terrarium, from creating the different layers to choosing and arranging your plants and adding those all important finishing touches.

And the clever bit? Once your terrarium is sealed, it creates its own little ecosystem, recycling moisture inside the glass, so it needs very little attention and virtually no watering. Perfect if you love the idea of filling your home with greenery but aren’t quite so good at remembering to water the houseplants!

You’ll leave with a gorgeous finished terrarium to take home and style in your house, or, with Christmas on the horizon, it would make a really thoughtful handmade gift for someone special. Although I won’t blame you if you decide it’s far too lovely to give away!

This is a workshop for everyone, so you absolutely don’t need any previous experience. Come with a group of friends, bring your mum, daughter or partner, or come on your own. The Community Garden is all about bringing people together, so it’s also a lovely opportunity to meet new people while learning a new skill.

Your ticket includes your glass terrarium, plants and all the materials you’ll need. Just turn up and I’ll have everything ready for you.

And as we’ll be at The Cherry Tree, why not make a day of it? After the workshop, stay for lunch, enjoy the pub’s wonderful menu and perhaps have a well deserved glass of something after all that hard work!

A gorgeous morning of plants, creativity, chatting and getting your hands a little bit dirty. What better way to spend it?
