Summer 2026 is likely to be the hottest and driest on record, ever.  What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

Join us for the People’s Emergency Briefing - a 50-minute film in which 9 leading UK scientists and experts bring the latest evidence and how its effecting things like:

🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living

The film is based on the evidence-led National Emergency Briefing for politicians and leaders of organisations which took place in Westminster in November 2025. It includes appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.  Find out more here.

After the film there will be an open discussion about what it means for our future and what we can do locally.  Tim Roca, MP for Macclesfield has been invited to attend as a participant in this crucial conversation. All local politicians are welcome.

Seats are FREE but limited, so please book in advance. There will also be admission on the door. Seating is unreserved and the venue is accessible.

The film makers consider this a film for adults and strongly recommend a minimum age of 16 years, as does the Climate Psychology Alliance. Further guidance can by found here.
