A World Day Of Service for Amma's Birthday

At Amma's own wish, her 73rd birthday is observed as Vishwa Seva Dinam — a world day of service, and has requested devotees to celebrate with her. 

"For what gift can we place before the Mother who keeps nothing and gives everything? Only this — to become her hands for a day. A wound tended, a street made clean, a family comforted, a lamp of hope lit in a darkened home: each of these is a flower laid at her feet." Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri

We lovingly invite all to join us on Saturday 19 September at our Amma UK home in Bromley. As we bring Amma's wish alive, we will spend the day together preparing the grounds for the grand re-opening of Amrita Hall.

Can't come to the Centre? You may also do seva in your local neighbourhood, whether that is litter picking, clearing a neighbour's garden, helping with shopping, lending a caring hand or a few kind words it all can make a difference.

Amma UK Centre Schedule:

09.30 - Arrivals, Welcome, Orientation

10.00 - Seva commences

LUNCH - Bring something for yourself or to share with others.
We'll have some fabulous chai and hearty cakes available to enjoy

16.00 - Seva session closes

16.30 - TBC Bhajans or wrap-up

18.00 - Close
