Meet Your Tutors

Bruce MacGregor (Fiddle)

Blazin Fiddles founder, broadcaster and composer

Focuses on Highland repetoire, style and expression

Iain MacFarlane (Fiddle)

Master musician from Glenfinnan and founding member of Blazin' Fiddles

Influenced by some of the greats of West Highland music, Iain has an incredible repetoire of music.

Ingrid Henderson (Clarsach)

Celebrated performer, composer, and educator.

Teaches accompaniment, arrangement, and traditional styling.

Friday

16:00 – Welcome drinks at MacGregor's Oban.

17:00 – Tutor introduction "MacGregor's Gathering' show broadcast from The Whisky Vaults 

19:30 – Opening session at MacGregor's.

Saturday

10:00 – Morning repetoire workshops at Rockfield Centre & MacGregors

13:00 – Lunch at MacGregor's Oban.

14:30 – Afternoon workshops at Rockfield Centre & MacGregors

20:00 – Concert - including tunes from the Clunes Collection and the early years of Blazin' Fiddles 

Sunday

10:00 – Masterclasses - Rockfield and MacGregors - a more in depth study of how to make your music flow

11.30 - Group Arrangement Workshop at Rockfield.

15:00 – Farewell Finale Session at MacGregor'
