Seed to Supper: An Evening in the Field with MASA x Mad Agriculture

You're invited to an evening in the field with MASA Seed Foundation and Mad Agriculture. Free of charge, just come learn and eat with us.
Rich Pecoraro, Founder and Agricultural Director, will walk you through how MASA grows organic seed, from selection and isolation through harvest and cleaning. You'll see the fields at the end of the season, hear what it takes to keep a variety true year over year, and learn how seed grown here becomes food for families across Boulder County.
MASA is building the Front Range's only public seed bank: open-pollinated, heirloom, and locally adapted. They recently launched the Adopt-A-Row program to raise funds that offset federal funding cuts, so the foundation can continue to feed Boulder County and guarantee locally grown, well-sourced, nutritious food to families ensuring the future of locally adapted seeds in this bioregion.
Provided: Dinner from Taverna Laudisio and Live Music
Bring: Layers, closed-toe shoes, and a water bottle. We'll be outside on uneven ground.

About MASA Seed Foundation:
MASA Seed Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to secure a diverse and vibrant food system for the Front Range by building a seed bank of locally adapted seeds capable of responding to changing climate conditions. MASA's work connects seed stewardship with food access: the bioregional seed bank keeps locally adapted seed in active use, while the farm turns that growing capacity into fresh produce for CSA members, community markets, and hunger-relief partners. Their Farm-to-Food Bank program provides fresh produce directly to low-income families and others with limited access to healthy food.

About Mad Agriculture:
Mad Agriculture is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to create a regenerative revolution in agriculture. Mad Agriculture helps farmers and ranchers thrive in regenerative agriculture through technical and financial assistance, storytelling, and movement building.
