Simple Mini-Books with Decorative Covers with Jen Ouson

Join artist Jen Ouson (a.k.a. Grey Paper Press) to make tiny little books for all your sketches and secrets...

In this introduction workshop participants will be guided in using simple bookbinding and zine making techniques to fold and bind single sheets of paper into little mini books that can be used for sketching, notes, shopping lists, recipes, journaling, gifts and more.

Each book will be bound and covered using recycled papers such as wrapping paper, newspaper, or pages from old books.

Perfect, tiny, portable, and analogue! These little books for your pocket are an ideal way to record the little things each day!

Both complete beginners and those with prior experience are welcome. 

Please be aware that craft knives will be used in this workshop.

All materials will be provided for this workshop. However, you are very welcome to bring your own decorative papers to cover your little books if you want to make them more personal.

Jen is an artist working with artists books and zines. Her work is published under her press name, GreyPaperPress, and she is a workshop facilitator and educator. She is also the collections founder and co-ordinator of the artists books & zines collection at Edinburgh College (@AB-ZCollection on Instagram).
