Introduction to Machine Sewing with Isabella Rossi

Learn how to sew on a sewing machine!

Machine sewing is a quick and easy way to turn  fabric into clothing, bags, home decor, and more. 

In this workshop, we’ll cover the basics of sewing on a machine: threading, stitching, straight and curved seams, and zippers. 

Participants will use their new skills to create a small zippered pouch to take home.

This is a three hour workshop suitable for adult beginners or those wanting to refresh their sewing machine skills.

About the Teacher: Isabella Rossi is the owner of Rossi Conservation, a textile conservation studio based in Dunbar. She is the President of the Edinburgh Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers, and is constantly crafting. She aims to help textile artists understand and care for the materials they work with.
