Forage your own ink!

Join artist Fee Scroggie to learn the ancient art of making ink from foraged materials. You will learn how to make a selection of inks from cones, tree bark and leaves.

The workshop will involve cooking up the foraged materials to release their colours then condensing it down to the desired shade and turning it into a usable ink by adding binders and other secret ingredients.

You will then be able to experiment with different chemicals and household materials to shift the colours of the ink from yellow to the darkest black true alchemy at work!

Each student will leave with their own collection of inks to use at home and enough knowledge to continue their ink making journey.
