Artist: Charlotte Strawbridge
Cost: £125
Lunch and refreshments provided.
In this course you will discover the beauty of natural form through expressive palette knife painting. Charlotte will teach you how to create rich textures and dynamic marks inspired by meadows and hedgerows.
This course is perfect for beginners or those looking to loosen their style, and celebrates the tactile joy and spontaneity of nature in bloom.
Upon arrival, Charlotte will walk you through the tools and materials you'll use, and do a demonstration of basic palette knife strokes. After the demonstrations she'll guide you through some practices before you will start on your own canvases.
You will go home from this course with a palette knife, practice papers, two smaller abstract canvases (15x15cm), a final 'Meadow' (20x20cm) or 'Hedgerow' (15x30cm) canvas.
Most materials for this course are covered, but we do ask you to bring the following with you:
- Apron or painting clothes
- Box to take the painting away
