In this course you will immerse yourself in the landscape through layers of texture and colour. You will experiment with atmosphere, movement, and composition to create intuitive, expressive scenes inspired by nature's moods. Explore wet-on-wet painting and dynamic knife techniques to bring your own sense of place and emotion to life on canvas.
This course is perfect for beginners or those looking to loosen their style, and celebrates the tactile joy and spontaneity of nature in bloom.
Upon arrival, Charlotte will walk you through the tools and materials you'll use, and do a demonstration of tonal underpainting for atmosphere. After the demonstrations she'll guide you through some practices before you will start on your own canvases. This course focuses on building layers to create texture and movement to create expressive landscapes.
