Join printmaker Abbie Lois for a three and a half hour workshop making your own autumnal inspired, lino printed garland.
The garlands can be used to decorate and adorn walls, mantlepieces or windows, or would make a perfect gift. During this session we'll take inspiration from the changing seasons and folk motifs.

Perfect for those who like to acknowledge the seasons, lino print beginners or improvers, and creatives looking to try something new, this session offers a calm and encouraging introduction to the art of relief printmaking. No prior experience is needed!

What you’ll learn:

• The basics of lino printing tools and techniques
• How to design a simple repeatable print
• Safe and professional lino carving methods
• How to successfully print onto paper to create a decorative garland

• Inspiration imagery to work from
• Guidance and demonstrations throughout the workshop

You’ll leave with your own hand-printed garland and the knowledge to continue lino printing at home.

What to bring

• Clothes you don’t mind getting a little inky
• An apron if you like
• We use water-based inks, but if you have very sensitive skin you can bring some gloves
• Ideas or inspiration for autumnal motifs (optional as there will be plenty inspiration at the workshop)
