Join printmaker and folklore artist Abbie Lois for a Samhain/Halloween inspired lino workshop.We'll take inspiration from the rich folklore surrounding the time of Samhain - better known as Halloween - the night where it's said the veil is thin between this world and the next, and otherworldly creatures and spirits roam. Perfect for those who love folklore, lino print beginners or improvers, and creatives looking to try something new - this session offers a calm and encouraging introduction to the art of relief printmaking. No prior experience is needed.

What you’ll learn

• The basics of lino printing tools and techniques
• How to design a lino print
• Safe and professional lino carving methods
• How to successfully print onto paper to create a piece of artwork

You’ll leave with your own artwork and the knowledge to continue lino printing at home.

What to bring

• Clothes you don’t mind getting a little inky
• An apron if you like
• We use water-based inks, but if you have very sensitive skin you can bring some gloves
• Ideas or inspiration (optional as there will be plenty inspiration at the workshop)
