Welcome

Join us for an evening of Kirtan!

Kirtan is done to awaken the heart, purify the mind and it deepens our connection with the Divine couple, Sri-Sri Radha Krishna, through the collective power of devotional prayer.

Ultimately, everyone wants to be happy, but we are searching for that happiness in the wrong places. So long as we associate with the impermanent material energy, we will experience impermanent happiness and distress. However, when we perform service to God, the Supreme Eternal Truth, we will experience the true happiness of the soul.

The Bhagavad Gita is a dialogue between Lord Sri Krishna and His devotee Arjuna, which outlines the nature of the soul, the laws of karma and material nature. It explains to us the temporary and illusory nature of material existence and guides us towards surrender to the ultimate truth. It is one of the most revered scriptures in the Vedic tradition and within the world!

Join us as we discuss the application of this timeless knowledge in our lives, leading us closer to a life of clarity, devotion, and purpose amidst life’s challenges.

Bhagavad Gita 2.20

na jāyate mriyate vā kadācin
nāyaṁ bhūtvā bhavitā vā na bhūyaḥ
ajo nityaḥ śāśvato ’yaṁ purāṇo
na hanyate hanyamāne śarīre

For the soul, there is neither birth nor death at
any time. He has not come into being, does not
come into being, and will not come into being.
He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primaeval.
He is not slain when the body is slain.

We are very fortunate to have the guest speaker, Bhaktivedanta Sadhu Maharaja, joining us for an evening of spiritual prayer and reflection. Maharaja has been a monk in the Gaydia Vasihnava tradition for over 30 years. He has dedicated his life to the service of his Gurudev, Bhaktivedanta Narayan Goswami Maharaja, a revered Saint in the Gaudiya Vaishnava lineage.

Maharaja was born in Lithuania but has lived in India for over twenty years. He will share his reflections upon  Bhakti Yoga, the pathway of love, and will present us with a deeper awareness of our true nature as spiritual beings.

Prasadam

We will provide our guests with a vegetarian evening meal that will be simple, wholesome, and prepared with love. It will be offered to Krishna, and will become prasadam, sanctified food that nourishes our mind, body and soul!

If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, fruit or water, I will accept it.”
— Bhagavad Gita 9.26
