The Producers

Mel Brooks’ uproarious musical comedy The Producers follows the chaotic exploits of washed-up Broadway producer Max Bialystock and his nervy, blanket-clutching accountant Leo Bloom, who accidentally stumble upon the most outrageous get-rich-quick scheme ever conceived: Produce a flop so catastrophic, it closes on opening night… and pocket the cash. What could possibly go wrong?

Well...quite a lot.

With the worst script they can find, the most questionable director in town, and a cast that can barely remember which way is upstage, Max and Leo are certain they’ve created a flop for the ages. But when “Springtime for Hitler” becomes a surprise smash hit, the duo are left desperately trying to figure out how success became their biggest failure.
