Selected Writings: A Talk by Richard Kalvar

Join Richard Kalvar at Magnum's London Gallery on November 28 to celebrate the release of his latest book, Selected Writings, which showcases a collection of images of public writing, taken over more than 50 years. The book uses humour to show his appreciation of how words appear in everyday life, in all its forms. Some phrases seem at odds with their settings, or as Kalvar says, “a little off”. But in many cases the joke is so well delivered, or the irony so effective, that oftentimes the language is actually in perfect harmony with its context.

Kalvar will begin the evening by giving a talk about the work, followed by a book signing and celebratory drinks.
