Step into a world of new imaginings as Magpie Dance take you down the rabbit hole for a brand-new interactive dance and technology performance.

Join us as we revisit contemporary dance pieces from renowned choreographers; explore Alice in Wonderland with a Magpie twist; and show you how dance and technology collide. This fun and fully interactive performance will even give you the chance to get up and boogie learning some moves from our wonderful dancers, as well as a very quirky tea party lead by the Mad Hatter themselves!

A new way to experience dance…

Since launching our ‘eMotion - when dance and technology collide’ project in 2019, we have been exploring new links between dance and technology. We’ve experimented with all sorts of artists, software and gadgets to find a new relationship between the two seemingly different entities; we’re thrilled to present our latest explorations in this performance.

Not just a ticket - Interactive Programme with Party Pack

For a fully interactive experience, we have created an immersive interactive programme to accompany the onscreen performance. The programme is full of QR codes, virtual reality experiences, 3D videos and mini holograms (that you will be able to see in your home!). The programme comes with all of the interactive equipment needed; virtual reality headset, hologram pyramid and 3D glasses.

There are some great added extras to keep you entertained way after the main performance. Inside you’ll find, links to free online Magpie Dance classes, augmented and virtual reality experiences, informative videos, and an insight into our past, present and future work.

By choosing Admission with Interactive Programme and Tea Party Pack on the ticket selection (£8 suggested donation), you will gain 1 zoom link for admission, plus the interactive programme, all equipment, and 1 tea party pack.

Extra Tea Party Pack

More tea party packs are available should others in your household want their own raffle ticket, pair of 3D glasses, and Drink Me and Eat Me items for the tea party section of the performance. Please note that this option is not admission but for extra goodies only.

Everybody is welcome to join us for this exciting performance, so if you would like to watch the show without the interactive programme and party pack, you can get a free link. Please choose Admission (Link Only) option on ticket selection. You'll need one link for each device/email address logging into the event (i.e. one per household not per person).
