Acting Can Be Murder – An Evening With Linda Regan
Enjoy an evening of stories, laughter and murder with actress and bestselling crime writer Linda Regan as she reflects on a successful career spanning television, film, radio and theatre. Discover how a few unforgettable experiences in the acting profession prompted her to swap scripts for crime novels – and how some of her fictional characters were inspired by people she met along the way (and occasionally wanted to murder!).
LINDA REGAN is both a successful and known actress, and a best-selling crime author. She has appeared in film, radio, commercials and numerous television shows both comedy and drama, but is still best known for her role as April in the smash BBC hit sitcom HI-DE-HI. In the theatre she has played everything from Pantomime to Shakespeare.
Her crime writing career started in 2004 when she won a crime writing competition with a new publisher looking for up and coming crime novelists. The book she submitted was set backstage in a pantomime, where a murderer was lurking and killing off all the cast. Since then, she has gone on to write eleven more successful crime novels since.
Originally, as a young child, Linda lived near Maidstone and is very much looking forward to coming back for a visit!
