DAN ABNETT is a multiple New York Times bestselling author and an award-winning comic book writer. He has written more than sixty novels, and is especially celebrated for his Warhammer 40,000 fiction, including The Eisenhorn Trilogy, Gaunt’s Ghosts, Horus Rising, and The End And The Death. He has also written comics and original novels for such properties as Doctor Who, Torchwood and Alien. In comics, he has done significant work for Marvel Comics, and for DC Comics (Aquaman, Titans, Batman and Legion of Superheroes to name just a few). His run on The Guardians of the Galaxy for Marvel formed the inspiration for the blockbuster movies. He is a regular contributor to the UK’s long-running 2000AD, with such critically acclaimed series as Brink, The Out, Lawless and Sinister Dexter, and also writes extensively for the games industry. Dan lives and works in Maidstone, Kent, in the UK.
