Tourism Workforce Summit

Maine Tourism Association is tackling the pressing challenges facing Maine's tourism and hospitality sector today, and we're dedicated to equipping Maine businesses with actionable solutions to become employers of choice. Come engage with these issues at our Tourism Workforce Development Summit on October 22-23, 2024, themed "Empower, Engage, Elevate."

This summit will feature panel discussions and speakers focusing on transformative topics such as transportation solutions, enhancing employee housing options, and fostering inclusivity in hiring practices. Learn about the latest in employee benefits and the H2B/J1 visa program. Moreover, we will explore the future landscape of employment in Maine, examining emerging trends and opportunities.

October 22nd - Networking Event, 5:30pm-7:30pm: Speak with current Thomas College students, the future of the Maine workforce! Network with the next generation and find your next intern or hire. Cost is $10 or FREE with Tourism Workforce Summit ticket. Includes hors d'oeuvres and one free drink ticket--attendance at this event is capped so register soon! If you register for this event, you will be sent a form in September to report which jobs and internships you will be prospecting for at the event; this information will be used to invite students who will be interested in your open positions.
