Manjushri Empowerment

with Buddhist nun and Resident Teacher of Maitreya Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Gen Kelsang Rak-ma

This empowerment is a special ceremony in which we can draw closer to Manjushri, the Wisdom Buddha, through special guided meditations and visualisations.

By relying upon Manjushri, we will naturally increase our wisdom. Wisdom is a virtuous, intelligent mind that enables us to understand meaningful objects, brings us happiness, guides us along correct paths and protects us from suffering.

In the afternoon we will have the opportunity to explore the importance of wisdom on the spiritual path and engage in beautiful chanted prayers to Buddha Manjushri.

Schedule:

• 9.15am Registration and refreshments
• 10.15am - 12.15pm Empowerment ceremony
• 12.15 - 1.30pm Complementary light lunch
• 1.30 - 3.00pm Teaching and Praise to Buddha Manjushri
