A Wicked Night of Coloring with Sugar

Grown-ups need playtime too! Join us for a relaxed, deliberately low-pressure creative evening where staying inside the lines is strictly optional. Instructor Sugar Gay Isber McMillan is taking over the tables at Make at Rosie with Halloween creatures, strange characters, and creepy pages for an unforgettable night of art experimentation.

🖍️ What You’ll Do

• Receive your own Halloween coloring book created by Sugar to use during class and take home afterward.
• Explore extra creepy pages featuring monsters, vintage art, and unusual characters so you have endless designs to pick from.
• Experiment with professional art media like markers, pens, pencils, metallics, watercolors, and unexpected color combinations.
• Learn simple layering techniques to add shading, highlights, blending, and depth that make ordinary coloring pages pop.
• Color at your own pace in a fun, non-judgmental atmosphere focused on play rather than perfection.

🎨 All Materials Provided

• Everything is already included: Your custom Halloween coloring book and full access to a giant assortment of quality art supplies.
• No rules art table: Mix materials, give Frankenstein a pink face, or cover a monster in black and gold metallics.
• Optional: If you have favorite markers, pens, or supplies at home, feel free to bring them along to use alongside ours!

👥 Who Can Join?

No art experience required. This workshop is open to all skill levels, especially total beginners who want an easy, stress-free place to start creating.

Built for adults. This is not kindergarten coloring night! It is a chance to unwind, experiment with sophisticated media, and hang out with other creative folks.

• What to bring: Just bring yourself, your drink, and your readers or glasses if you use them for close-up work.

Sugar Gay Isber McMillan is an artist, jewelry designer, author and longtime instructor who believes making art should be something people actually enjoy doing.

Sugar has taught creative classes for years and is the author and illustrator of the Halloween coloring book you'll receive during the workshop. Her classes are built around experimentation rather than perfection: lots of materials on the table, plenty of ideas to try and permission to make something entirely your own.
