Helicopter Stories Training Day

Events list

Makebelieve Arts is the charity behind Helicopter Stories. We run training in Helicopter Stories for Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage One practitioners.

MakeBelieve Arts was founded in 2002 by Trisha Lee and became a charity in 2004.

At MakeBelieve Arts we believe in the power of story to develop cognitive abilities, improve literacy, explore emotional functions and engage children with learning. Working with EYFS and KS1 practitioners, we are building towards a storytelling curriculum through which all children can thrive and grow. We believe that creativity should continue throughout education, with children telling stories as part of their everyday learning.

Helicopter Stories, the flagship of MakeBelieve Arts’ work, is a holistic approach to Early Years Foundation Stage education, where children create stories, adults scribe them, and then the group acts them out. This enables children to discover the world around them in their own, very personal way. This approach is suitable for children aged 2 to 7.
