Naturally Dyed Shibori Present Wrapping Cloths

Join Vicky Putler, from the Plax Project C.I.C., to learn how to use natural dyes to make a unique, reusable wrapping cloth, perfect for wrapping those xmas gifts for someone special!

Using traditional Japanese Shibori resist techniques, such as pleating (Kumo), folding, tying (Kanoko), wrapping objects (Ne Maki), stitching (Ori Nui and Miru) and clamping (Itajime), and natural dyes we will make festive present wrapping cloths. We will use lightweight cotton to get the best results.

On the day:

All tools and materials will be provided. Wear clothes willing to get messy! 

Tea, coffee, and biscuits are provided for all workshop attendees.

Our Café is now open should you wish to purchase other refreshments throughout the workshop. All participants receive a 10% discount voucher for food and drink purchased on the day.

On arrival please make your way to the side gate of the Riverside Mill, through the courtyard and up the stone stairs on the side of the building. Please let us know if you require the lift.

Please be aware that you cannot use the Co-op car park for all day parking. The Methodist Church car park and Station Road car park usually have plenty of spaces.
