Conquer Performance Anxiety for Musicians

We've all been there. Shoulders tensing, sweaty palms, that little wobble in your throat as you start to play or sing, "What if I go wrong?!". Sometimes it's a niggle, and sometimes it's an overwhelming fear that stops you from performing entirely, unable to fully engage with your music. This workshop is designed to help you move past those fears and give you the tools to embrace your full musical performance potential.

Performance anxiety can show up differently in everyone. This supportive group session invites you to explore what happens to you when you feel anxious about playing and what to do about it.

Does this sound familiar?
"Why am I not good enough?"
"I'm scared of being judged"
"What if I mess it up?"

You're not alone. We'll unpack why these feelings that occur through open, informal group discussion.

Together we will:

  • Explore what anxiety is and why it affects performers
  • Learn calming techniques grounded in psychology
  • Share experiences through peer discussion and coaching approaches
  • Reframe your mindset to build confidence and self-compassion

All ages welcome (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult).

There is no pressure at this event. You can participate as much or as little as you wish, and there is absolutely no obligation to play.

Bring your instrument and a piece of music to play if you can (all genres and abilities welcome)

After learning practical techniques, there will be an opportunity to play something for the group. Don't forget your stand and your sheet music if you need it.

Got questions? Drop us a message, we'd be pleased to hear from you.
