Biographie

Francisco López est flûtiste solo de l’Orchestre Symphonique de Barcelone et National de Catalogne (OBC) depuis 2018. Il a auparavant occupé le poste de flûte principale à l’Orchestre Philharmonique d’Oslo et à l’Orchestre de l’Opéra de Göteborg. Révélé sur la scène internationale en 2015 lors du prestigieux Concours ARD de Munich, il y remporte quatre distinctions, dont le deuxième prix, le prix du public et le prix de la meilleure interprétation de l’œuvre imposée. Sa carrière s’est largement développée dans les pays nordiques, où il a collaboré avec de grandes formations telles que le Göteborg Symphony Orchestra, l’Orchestre de la Radio Suédoise et l’Orchestre National Danois. Parallèlement à son activité d’orchestre, Francisco López mène une intense activité pédagogique et donne régulièrement des masterclasses dans les conservatoires supérieurs d’Espagne, de Suède et de Norvège. Également compositeur, il est l’auteur de plusieurs œuvres pour flûte saluées par la critique, parmi lesquelles Mangata, Mononoke-hime et El Bailareo de las gitanas.

Pianiste italien, Luca Lione est diplômé avec les plus hautes distinctions du Conservatoire « S. Giacomantonio » de Cosenza. Il complète sa formation au Conservatoire « C. G. da Venosa » de Potenza sous la direction de Vincenzo Marrone d’Alberti. Il se produit régulièrement en Italie et à l’international, notamment au Théâtre Keiros de Rome, au Théâtre Torlonia de Palerme, au Consulat général des Pays-Bas à Anvers, ainsi qu’au prestigieux Casino de Venise.
En 2018, il fait ses débuts au Gläserner Saal du Musikverein de Vienne en tant que lauréat du Grand Prize Virtuoso Vienna. Ses récents engagements incluent des concerts à la Chapelle Palatine du Palais Royal de Caserte, au Théâtre de la Villa Torlonia avec la Roma3 Orchestra, et avec l’Orchestre Philharmonique Federiciana sous la direction de Carlo Franceschi. Lauréat de nombreux concours internationaux, Luca Lione est depuis 2020 professeur de piano au Conservatoire d’État « S. Giacomantonio » de Cosenza.

The evening opens with the participation of a young musician, as part of a music mentoring programme developed in partnership with the Regional Music School of the City of Dudelange.

Biography

Francisco López has been Principal Flute of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and National Orchestra of Catalonia (OBC) since 2018. He previously held the position of Principal Flute with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Gothenburg Opera Orchestra. He gained international recognition in 2015 at the prestigious ARD International Music Competition in Munich, where he received four awards including Second Prize, the Audience Prize and the Prize for the best interpretation of the commissioned work. His career has developed extensively in the Nordic countries, where he has collaborated with major ensembles such as the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. Alongside his orchestral activity, Francisco López is strongly engaged in education and regularly gives masterclasses at leading conservatoires in Spain, Sweden and Norway. He is also a composer, and has written several critically acclaimed works for flute, including Mangata, Mononoke-hime and El Bailareo de las gitanas.

Italian pianist Luca Lione graduated with highest honours from the “S. Giacomantonio” Conservatory in Cosenza, and completed his training at the “C. G. da Venosa” Conservatory in Potenza under Vincenzo Marrone d’Alberti. He performs regularly in Italy and internationally, including at Teatro Keiros in Rome, Teatro Torlonia in Palermo, the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Antwerp, and the prestigious Casino of Venice.
In 2018, he made his debut at the Gläserner Saal of the Vienna Musikverein as a Grand Prize Virtuoso Vienna laureate. His recent engagements include concerts at the Palatine Chapel of the Royal Palace of Caserta, at Teatro Villa Torlonia with Roma3 Orchestra, and with the Federiciana Philharmonic Orchestra under Carlo Franceschi. A prizewinner in numerous international competitions, Luca Lione has been Professor of Piano at the State Conservatory “S. Giacomantonio” in Cosenza since 2020.
