Malvern Pastel Artists Session 15

Who are we?
Malvern Pastel Artists is a new community art group starting in 2026 meeting fortnightly. We would like to welcome other local pastel artists to create in a relaxed social space. The group is not a tutored class. Open to all abilities, beginners are welcome to join. There will be some beginner friendly art materials available for those new to pastels. 

You will be able to add your 2026 membership (required) when purchasing your first event ticket or visit the ‘store’ link at the top of the page.

What do we mean be Pastels?

What we love about pastels is that it’s drawing and painting combined in one; with intense colours closer to the raw pigment than other media. We define pastels as including; soft pastels, hard pastels, oil pastels, charcoal, graphite, crayons, any pencils and stick form media. Many of us are mixed media artists and combine pastels with other media; for example, watercolours.

Meetings

Each meeting you are free to work on your own project or on a theme/still life suggested and provided by group members for inspiration. The session will be relaxed and informal. Please bring your own media and paper.
