MCCSC SUMMER SOCIAL EVENT WITH TATTON LAKE WALK AND BUFFET

SAT 13TH JUNE

Join us for a Summer social walk and buffet, very kindly hosted by Alison and Peter Raynes at their home in Knutsford.  The plan is to begin with a walk around the lake in Tatton Park before returning to Alison and Peter's for a buffet.

Timings:

• Arrive at Alison & Peter’s 10:00 to 10:30am
• Walk – start at 10:30am – back home about midday
• Food from midday

 NB: if you are coming for food only and we are not back from our walk do please feel free to sit in the back garden.

Bookings close Monday 1st June. (please book as early as possible to help Alison & Peter plan)

Directions:

• Once you come into Knutsford you will need to follow the road down past the station. Then up a slight hill though traffic lights – this is the A537 Chelford Road.
• Just after a road sign for bends you turn left down Carrwood. Then first left again into Warwick Close.
• Warwick Close becomes Hallside Park. Follow the road – we are on the left just past a small green BT box. It’s a shared drive and we are the house on the right of the pair of houses down the drive.
• NB if you get to number 15 on Hallside Park you have gone 1 drive too far. There is a turning area at the bottom of the road.
• We will attach balloons to the hedge by our drive so you can spot us

• Parking:

We have limited parking in our drive (2 visitor cars). You can also park on Hallside Drive or on Carrwood:

Walk details:

So long as the weather is reasonable we are planning to walk round the main lake in Tatton Park prior to food. We can walk there from our house. The walk is expected to be about 7km (OS app suggests 1.5 hours) It is fairly flat but is on uneven grassy ground and can be muddy so walking shoes are recommended and waterproofs if it looks showery. You may like to bring some water along for the walk.

Contributions:

We are planning for a cold buffet but possibly with some sausages & lamb burgers. Food contributions towards nibbles / main course / desserts would be most welcome. If you are able to bring a food contribution please can you email Alison on: alisonraynes@outlook.com to agree contribution so we don’t end up with 10 salads and no desserts. 

NB Alison is away sailing from Friday 5^th  to Sunday 7^th June, so please can you liaise on contributions with her prior to Monday 1st June if possible.

• We can accommodate approx. 18 people but if we get more we may ask people to bring a chair and possibly a table.
