Irish Storytelling Workshop for Young Children
Join storyteller Neysa Killeen for an interactive and relaxed sharing of Irish folklore recommended for children under 7 years old.
Including legends like Oisín in the Land of Youth and other weird and wonderful tales of magic and courage deeply rooted in the Irish landscape, these stories will delight and inspire children and their grown-ups. A chance to learn more about the stories that have shaped Ireland and become more familiar with famous heroes, gods, fairies and creatures. We hope you enjoy learning through the ancient oral tradition of storytelling.
Neysa Killeen is an Irish storyteller, writer, actor, and producer based in Manchester. Her one-woman show, Questions of Travel, debuted at the Greater Manchester Fringe in 2024. As a child, she loved listening to local storytellers and these memories have inspired her to become a storyteller herself. We are excited to welcome Neysa back to our TradFest this September.
The workshop will take place in the Green Room at the back of the cafe. Refreshments are available to purchase in the main cafe area.
For tickets to the storytelling workshop aimed at adults and older children, please view our other event page.
