Special Live Talk by Pema Chödrön: In-Person

Mangala Shri Bhuti is honored to once again host a special teaching by Pema Chödrön at Phuntsok Choling near Boulder, Colorado. With deep gratitude for Pema’s 90 years of life and wisdom, we look forward to gathering together for this special occasion.

As part of Mangala Shri Bhuti's annual Nyingma Summer Seminar, Ani Pema will offer a special public teaching on Thursday, July 16, 10am MDT. This is a rare and precious opportunity to receive instructions on a topic from Mahayana Buddhism directly from her, both in person and via live stream.

Ani Pema’s teachings have touched countless hearts, bringing courage, compassion, and clarity to so many. We are deeply grateful for the chance to gather together in appreciation of her life, teachings, and extraordinary contribution to the dharma.

What does this Fundraiser Talk Support?
Each year, Ani-la generously donates the funds raised from her talk to support the activities of Mangala Shri Bhuti, the sangha of her teacher, Venerable Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche.

In Person Registration

Pema Chödrön’s talk will be given in-person from Phuntsok Choling, near Ward, CO. Please click the Register button to buy your ticket for in-person.

How to Select a Seat 
After clicking on the red Register button, you will be able to choose either Reserved Seating or General Admission.
For Reserved Seating, hover over the circles on map to choose your seat. Prices are:

• Gold Reserved Seats:  $295 (plus booking fee).
• Silver Reserved Seats: $195 (plus booking fee).
• Bronze General Admission: $95. First-come/first seated (plus booking fee).

As this is a fundraiser talk, we are not extending financial aid for in-person attendees. You may still view Ani Pema's talk via Live Stream, which is donation based.

Pema’s talk on July 16, 2026, will be live streamed. Live Stream registration is available on this different web page. The live stream is donation-based with a suggested donation of $45.

Nyingma Summer Seminar
Pema Chödrön will be giving this talk in the context of Nyingma Summer Seminar, a week-long public program that also serves as an important annual gathering for MSB students. During this program, Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche, Dungse Jampal Norbu and Elizabeth Mattis Namgyel teach on the 3 Yanas of Buddhism. Ani Pema gives her talk in the morning on July 16. If you wish to stay for Kongtrul Rinpoche's talk in the afternoon, you will need to register for the talk. You can also find information about ordering lunch on the NSS event page.

Please note: If you are registered for NSS, separate registration is required for Pema Chödrön’s talk. This talk is not included.

A recording of the live stream talk will be available post-event for one month only for both In-Person and Live Stream registrants.
