Myths We Live By: Hidden narratives shaping how we live and work

Fri 26 Jun 2026 12:00 PM - 1:15 PM BST Online, Google Meet

An interactive online workshop exploring identity, adaptation and the subconscious patterns beneath modern life.

Many of the ways we move through the world are shaped by inherited stories we rarely stop to question.

Ideas about success.
Productivity.
Identity.
Leadership.
Belonging.
What makes a life valuable.
What it means to be “good enough”.

Over time, these assumptions can become so familiar that they stop feeling like stories at all. They simply begin to feel like reality.

This workshop explores the deeper narratives, metaphors and identity patterns shaping how we live and work — and how those patterns influence everything from burnout and perfectionism to creativity, confidence and leadership.

What to Expect

Through reflective prompts, discussion and symbolic exercises, participants will explore:

  • the assumptions shaping their behaviour and decision-making
  • how identity patterns form through culture, adaptation and lived experience
  • the relationship between language, perception and possibility
  • how metaphor and symbolic thinking can help reveal unconscious patterns
  • what becomes possible when we begin relating to ourselves with greater awareness

The point is not self-reinvention.

It is learning to recognise the patterns you may have inherited, adapted to or outgrown — and creating space for more coherent ways of living and working.

Ideal for:
creatives, changemakers, leaders and reflective people navigating a season of change — and wanting to feel more like themselves.
