With Killzone 3, the bar was raised yet again. Visually and in terms of gameplay, the team pushed the PlayStation 3 further than many thought possible, building on the already impressive achievements of Killzone 2.

Musically, the challenge was just as great. Responding to a darker storyline - with the ISA stranded on a hostile planet behind enemy lines and suffering a personal tragedy, Joris de Man took the music in a new direction. The result was a more emotional and introspective score, lead by a title theme that surprised players and critics alike and went viral before that was even really a thing.

In this final session of the trilogy, Joris goes behind the scenes to share more about his compositional process, the creative choices behind the music and that iconic main theme, and the themes that run through the story.
