Tired of running on fumes?

This year is moving fast. If you're feeling stretched thin, wound tight, or like you can't quite catch your breath, you're not imagining it. And you're not alone.

As we move into Mid- and Late- Summer, Qi Gong offers a place to land: a grounding practice to steady your energy, a community to move alongside, and an hour each week outdoors, returning to the rhythms of nature rather than fighting against them.

In Chinese medicine, late summer is the season of Earth — of centering, of coming home to yourself. There's no better time to begin.

About the Series

This 10-week series introduces the Jin Jing Gong lineage of Qi Gong: a standing, movement-based form with synchronized breath and guided meditative focus. It's accessible to all levels and adaptable for different bodies.

Join me for a 10-week journey into this traditional healing practice, where you'll learn:

  • The Five Element model of Nature
  • How the Elements relate to different emotions and parts of the body
  • Movements to stretch the tendons and open the energy channels
  • Techniques to cultivate a somatic sense of internal safety
  • A complete set of movements for your own home practice

You'll leave this series with everything you need to begin and maintain a practice of your own.

Why Practice Qi Gong?

Qi Gong is a traditional Daoist healing and cultivation method. It reminds us that all of life is interconnected — that we live between the Earth and the Sky, and that the Qi of the Universe is available to us, and within us.

In Daoism, unregulated emotions are considered both a root cause of illness and a path to healing. By combining movement, awareness, intention, and breath, Qi Gong helps regulate emotional energy — so you can release what no longer serves you and invite more ease into your body and your daily life. The practice supports organ function, relieves tension and pain, and reconnects you to the abundance of Qi all around and within you.

What Students Are Saying

"Tara is a wonderfully kind and generous teacher of Qi Gong who obviously loves their lineage, has dedicated themself to embodying and sharing its wisdom, and cares deeply about cultivating a supportive community of practitioners. It's been such a gift to learn and practice with them. I've found their classes healing and transformative on so many levels."

"I wasn't able to attend the classes because of a health issue, but later I was able to follow along with the recordings. I really enjoyed how Tara connected the history and philosophy of the lineage with the form, and invited us to fully engage with it. I could feel a difference after just a few sessions, and I use the shaking technique regularly — even when I'm not feeling up to the full practice."

"As a complete beginner, this class has been very accessible and not intimidating. I felt challenged but not overwhelmed. It really helped me connect to my body, my energy, and the elements. Thank you!"

About the Lineage

Jin Jing Gong — literally Tendon Channel Cultivation — uses Qi generated through engaging the tendons to nourish the Kidney Essence, the core life energy, in a lineage passed down from Master Wang QingYu in Chengdu, China. Dr. Tara Radsliff is a fourth-generation disciple of this tradition, authorized to teach by Heiner Fruehauf, Master Wang's designated successor. To hear more about Master Wang Qingyu's inspiring life, listen to his interview here.
