“Beating Bias – How can we remove the barriers to fuel female leadership”

This year’s International Women’s Day theme is “Accelerate Action.”  Last year, Top 100 law firm, Cripps LLP published a new report focusing on gender bias and the career barriers senior businesswomen face, particularly in mid-market businesses in the UK. The report used the findings of a survey of 101 female c-suite executives, business owners and founders. Please find details of the full report here: Cover - Female Leaders Report

To celebrate IWD, Cripps will be co-hosting a fireside chat to discuss the findings of the report and explore practical and actionable solutions for overcoming barriers that hinder the growth of female leaders. Our panel, derived from the March membership and Cripps’ wider network, will be discussing how we can reframe the debate on female empowerment, moving away from “how to help women” to “how to advance the business” and accelerate action.

We are delighted to be joined on the panel by March Women member Lucy Delaney, Managing Director at FTI Consulting, Waleed Jamil, Relationship Director at Barclays Bank plc and Victoria Symons, partner and head of Cripps’ corporate division.

Following the discussion, there will be time for a Q&A and networking.
