The recent landmark agreement at MEPC 83 signifies that shipping is the first industry to mandate a global framework for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that includes emission limits and a GHG pricing mechanism. This will accelerate the uptake of low/zero carbon fuels and fuel efficiency technologies.
Co-organised by Solis Marine, Hill Dickinson and Maritime London, this timely seminar will explore the fuel technologies that are expected to emerge in the short to medium term and consider the operational and contractual risks associated with the main contenders vying for the fuel of the future.
Speakers will include:
- ALVIN FORSTER, Head of Marine Engineering Services, Solis Marine
- ANDREW LE MASURIER, Senior Technical Adviser, ITOPF
- RICHARD PEMBERTON, Head of Clean Shipping, Solis Marine
- HELENE PETER-DAVIES, Legal Director & Master Mariner, Hill Dickinson LLP
- JAMES TURNER KC, Quadrant Chambers
- JOS STANDERWICK, Chief Executive, Maritime London (Moderator)
The seminar will be held on Wednesday, 16 July 4-6pm (arrivals from 3.30pm) and will be followed by a networking reception.
