Description
Join artist Ann Bellamy for unique workshops connecting participants with local history through hands-on crafting
Inspired by local heritage, you'll create historically inspired objects that bridge past and present, exploring connections between your life and those of previous generations.
This workshop is open to individuals aged 18 and above and caters to all skill levels, from complete beginners to enthusiasts.
Workshops also work as standalone sessions, so don’t worry if you can’t make them all.
Timetable
Fridays 10am-12pm at King Edward Centre
- Folk art hands – 22nd November: Exploring this symbols of friendship and charity towards others, looking at paper cuts and metal embossing.
- Swallow decoration – 29th November: We'll create a swallow decoration, inspired by a Swallow brooch.
- Fossil decoration – 6th December: Taking inspiration from fossils.
- Clay tiles – 13th December: We'll be creating air dry clay tiles inspired by tiles in the Parish church.
- Straw decoration – 20th December: Create your own straw decoration relating to farming in the area.
Venue accessibility: The venue has disabled access with automatic doors and a disabled toilet is available.
About Ann Bellamy: Ann Bellamy is a freelance visual artist based in Peterborough, working with mixed media including paintings, drawing and sculpture. Ann has over twenty years’ experience in delivering creative workshops with adults in community settings, the justice system and mental health groups. She exhibits work on a regular basis both in solo and group shows in addition to private commissions.
