The Dragon Boat racing takes place on the river and the marshalling and viewing is from the towpath.  It is organised by Team Activity Group (TAG).

Get Ready to Race! 

The dragon boat racing takes place on the River Thames, where your supporters will have a front-row view of every stroke watching from the towpath in Higginson Park — where they'll also find all of Sunday's activities.

The event is organised by Team Activity Group, who will be on hand throughout the day to keep things running smoothly and safely.
Each dragon boat crew consists of 11 team members: 10 paddlers seated in pairs, powering the boat toward the finish line, and 1 drummer positioned at the front of the boat to keep the rhythm and drive the team forward. A steerer provided by Team Activity Group will stand at the rear of the boat, keeping you on course. You can have up to 15 people in your team and rotate them across races — so everyone gets their moment on the water. Every team is guaranteed at least 3 races, giving you plenty of chances to find your rhythm, improve your time and go for glory.

Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned paddler, this is a team challenge like no other — expect noise, laughter, fierce competition and memories that will last long after the final race is done!

How to Enter

Entering your team is simple — just follow these three steps:

Step 1 — Read the Information Pack. Please read the Instructions, Rules & Regulations and share with all your team members. This covers everything you need to know for the day, including safety requirements, racing rules and what to bring. Download the Instructions, Rules & Regulations here:-

Step 2 — Complete the Entry Form. Once you've read the pack, complete and submit the Google Entry Form via the link below:-

Step 3 — Pay for Your Entry. Click the red button to the right to complete your payment. All prices below include VAT at 20%. Item / Price (incl. VAT) is listed below:-

Boat Crew / £350 + 5% booking fee

Gazebo Pitch / £25 + 5% booking fee

Competitor Parking / £8 + 5% booking fee

Please note:- The Gazebo Pitch fee does not include a gazebo — you will need to bring your own- Entries paid before 1st March 2026 receive a complimentary Gazebo Pitch.  

When you select a ticket, the checkout will display the net (ex-VAT) price.  If you make a wrong selection and leave the page without completing your purchase, please allow 30 minutes for your basket to clear
