Revolutionary War Encampment
Step back to the days of America’s founding as the Military History Academy joins us at Historic White Pine Village to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary — the semiquincentennial — during Father’s Day weekend.
Visitors will experience a fully interpreted Revolutionary War encampment representing the 8th Massachusetts Regiment, a “Regular” U.S. military unit with historical ties to Michigan. Throughout the day, costumed educators will share what daily life was like for soldiers serving in the Continental Army.
