Diet and MCAS: Q&A Session
Multiple dates and times
Online
Description
Join us for an informative and engaging Q&A session with Chloe Hall and Alison Holloway, two leading dietitians and experts on Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS).
Chloe and Alison will be answering your questions on diet and MCAS. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or looking for advanced tips, come along to learn more about managing diet and MCAS.
Chloe is a Dietitian with over 10 years of experience working in the NHS. She has also launched her own business, @thecalmgutdietitian, which specialises in gut health, and specifically histamine intolerance and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). Chloe became interested in the area following her husband's experience with MCAS, and she is passionate about raising awareness of these lesser-known conditions.
Alison is a UK based Dietitian with over 25 years of NHS experience and currently works as a specialist diabetes dietitian in the NHS alongside running a busy private practice, ‘The Unexpected Dietitian’. In private practice Alison brings together many years of experience and a passion for inclusive and weight neutral healthcare to support clients struggling with emotional and disordered eating and chronic illness such as Diabetes, PoTS, M.E and MCAS. Alongside her busy dietetic roles Alison is also a carer for her daughter, who has had a challenging 10 year journey with PoTS, hypermobility and MCAS. This personal experience has shaped Alison’s inclusive and gentle approach to healthcare.

As this is a Q&A event, please submit your questions in advance to faye@mastcellaction.org
Please note that, although there will be an opportunity for questions during the session, this is not a medical appointment and personal advice cannot be given, as this would not be appropriate without a full consultation.
What you need to know
We will be running this session virtually through Zoom, you are welcome to attend with your microphone and camera off if you feel more comfortable doing so. We will email out the Zoom link to join 1 hour before the session. Please check your spam folder if you can't find this link.
Please note: We will be taking a register so if there are a large number of participants, it may take a while – please be patient if you are in the waiting room. It will make the process of admitting people and taking the register much quicker if you could change your name before joining, to the name you used when booking. You can access a step by step on how to change your name here.
Please book a place for everyone who will be attending online, even if you'll be attending using the same device. This helps us keep the event running smoothly and safely and also helps us to decide what kind of events to organise in the future.
Please contact events@mastcellaction.org with any questions.
Attendance is free, although donations are much appreciated as this helps us to keep the lights on and to keep delivering essential support and services for people living with MCAS. If you are able to do so, there is an option to make a donation, when booking your spot.
Places are limited, so please do let us know if you change your mind or your plans change so we can offer the spot to someone else.
