Learning the Gote
This workshop is a 4-week course with one weekly class, dedicated to one of the most essential and symbolic ties in traditional Japanese rope bondage: the Gote.
You’ll learn to build a solid and adaptable Gote while refining your knowledge about structure, tensioning, and body awareness. We’ll explore how to respond to your partner’s body shape, energy, and instill your own creative intention—combining technical knowledge with sensitivity, connection and communication.
We will build upon your existing knowledge to create a practical, solid foundation for tying a stemless Gote.

Body alignment
Arm positions and shoulder locking
Safety fundamentals and nerve injury prevention
