Moving Souls

This is a regular Authentic Movement class for people to dive into, explore and develop their inner emotional landscapes. It's a practice that can down-regulate your nervous system, provide meditative states and insights as well as is used in therapeutic contexts - for good reasons. It gives a great framework to explore the body as a vessel of memory, trauma, archetype, or spirit. Very much like Butoh it invites vulnerability, slowness, and presence.
Shibari is more than knots, frictions and patterns—it is a rich fabric woven from movement, breath, and presence - held together by rope. Every gesture in tying, every shift within the ropes, every breath speaks volumes. In this format, we will explore how authentic and intuitive movement can shape your rope practice and how even the smallest actions—or stillness—can create profound emotional impact and narrative.

You are invited to discover:

  • How your way of moving influences the emotional landscapes you create and vice versa.
  • The power of polarities—expansion and contraction, motion and stillness, will and surrender.
  • The building blocks of natural movement: why we move, how we move, and how intentional choices can transform your rope session.
  • Tools to cultivate authentic expression and deepen emotional connection with your yourself and your partner through embodied presence.

This is not a “dancing with ropes” class—, it is an exploration of regular movement and learning to harness your body’s natural expression in a way that enriches your practice, deepens your ties, and brings new layers of authenticity and emotional flexibility to your rope journey - regardless of the style in which you tie (be it in the Yukimura, the Naka or any other tradition).

Step into the circle, move and be moved.
