Strappado with Neya - Class II: Strappado Partials (improver+/intermediate)

Thu 14 May 2026 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM E1 4BG

Doors open: 6:30 PM

In the previous class you've felt what an arm binder does on the ground.

This workshop takes the arm binder into a strappado — exploring the particular power, vulnerability, and visual drama that emerges when this harness meets partial suspension.
Nëya guides you through two distinct partial suspension shapes built on the strappado, with a focus on keeping things achievable, safe, and deeply satisfying at every level of experience.

In this workshop you will explore:

🖤 Two partial suspension shapes — different aesthetics, different emotional textures, both rooted in precision
🖤 Safety from every angle — harness integrity, shape mechanics, nerve and joint care under load
🖤 The emotional landscape of strappado — how it differs from Takate Kote, what it opens in the model, and how to work with that as a rigger 🖤 Freedom and improvisation — the unique creative possibilities this harness unlocks, and how to use them with intention

Lower body options are flexible — bring what you know, or we'll find what suits your body and dynamic.

❗️New to strappado or want to deepen your foundation?
Nëya covers the base harness in full in the preceding workshop on 13 May 2026. We strongly recommend taking both. Even if you already know a version of strappado, Nëya's approach offers options and joint positioning details that most teachers simply don't cover.❗️

Prerequisites

Models:

  • understanding the difference between blood restriction and nerve issue
  • no need to be able to reach wrist to wrist behind the back (as long as your rigger knows how to tie strappado that suits you), every body is welcome
  • experience with full suspensions

Riggers:

  • flawless single column tie
  • very good rope handling and understanding frictions
  • very good upline management and understanding of upline safety
  • experience with full suspensions
  • being able to tie smoothly and flawlessly any suspendable harness for the lower body (futo momo, monoblock, mermaid…)

Bring:

  • 6-8 jute ropes 5-6mm (strappado is easier to tie with 5mm)

About the teacher:

Nëya is a Prague-based rigger and model with a strong presence across the European rope community. She began teaching in 2018 at Subspace Studio, a home-based space for rope practice and learning. Since then, she has expanded her reach, regularly traveling and teaching workshops throughout Europe—most often alongside her primary rope partner, Kameko.

A lifelong learner at heart, Nëya continues to explore new techniques and perspectives from a wide range of teachers, always seeking to deepen her understanding of rope and connection.

Her work is rooted in a strong belief in the individuality and uniqueness of both riggers and models. Nëya focuses on offering practical tools for exploring rope, body, and mind, with every class tailored to the specific needs and dynamics of each group. Her style spans from precise, traditional techniques with many ropes to playful, minimalistic explorations.

Above all, Nëya’s approach to tying is about authenticity: staying true to herself and the moment.
